In April 2020 a previous superfan Adam Mcynter came out with a video called ‘Stop Lying’ which first really brought issues up and went viral at the time with a decent dislike to like ratio especially following Collen’s response twisting events.
After a 2016 livestream where Colleen found Adam’s twitter account which she remarked several times was funny, she decided she wanted to send something to Adam and they also began personally speaking afterwards.
Adam as mentioned was a superfan who hosted fan pages for her and was a part of fan group chats which Colleen also took part in.
From the ages of 13-15 Adam considered himself ‘friends’ with the 30 year old Colleen as she fostered the relationship and shared private details about her life. Even when
Things became inappropriate as Collen would share details about her divorce to her then husband Josh, agreed to a meet up where she had not been expecting Adam’s parents to attend and eventually even sent him lingerie as promised from the previous livestream. Adam’s parents became concerned and definitely enraged by the arrival of the lingerie.
Adam would frequent gossip circles to feed information back to Colleen and ended up having his name tossed in to be attacked. He also would assist her with twitter and video ideas until she gave him access to her twitter to post for her. A tweet saying she was ‘coming out as a Meghan Trainer fan’ caught conflict as people called it ‘Queen baiting’ which caused Colleen to turn on Adam and attempt a guilt trip. There had been time in the past where Adam might begin to pull back but would be baited to return through comments, a subscription and a promise to be flown out to see her which never happened by the way.
Eventually Adam pulled away, signing out of her account and sending a message to her that he wouldn’t access the account anymore but still had love for her. Colleen’s response was to leave him on read, delete his tweets and act miserable online without saying the reason leading Adam to feel guilty again.
Originally Collen ignored his video but when the backlash didn’t die out she came out with her own that twisted the truth such as claiming Adam asked for the lingerie repeatedly when really she was the one who insisted on sending it to him. At the time, her video turning responsibility to Adam and appearing the better worked drawing hate to Adam.
Another superfan, Kodee Tyler came out with his own video going back on his level of involvement with Colleen, Colleen’s good friend Korey and Adam. He also claimed Adam was a liar who wasn't truly friends with any of them.
Colleen would be exposed however by other fans as well in time as she frequented group chats she had with superfans where like with Adam, she would share private details about her life, her divorce, requested videos of fans and would ask inappropriate questions such as their ‘favourite positions’ and periods. One of which being a group chat called The Weenies back in 2017 made by a group of fans between the ages of 12-18 with few above that.
Her act as her made up character Miranda Sings was also flagged for inappropriate behavior as people looked back on it. With scenes such as smelling young fan and calling them ‘fertile’ to caring a bag of cheese balls down her pants which she’d ask the children she invited up to reach into.
Colleen also made inappropriate comments under the guise that it was the character and for the sake of comedy but did admit to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight show that sometimes she does mean what her character says.
Her books also received negative reviews as they were clearly marketed to children but contained odd contents such as various ‘positions’ and other not so kid friendly information.
She was also known for having a close friendship with JoJo Siwa when she was just a child and would make inappropriate comments such as once discussing Jojo wanting to see her panties.
Her next and most infamous ‘apology’ video was her song about the ‘Toxic Gossip Train’ played on a Ukulele where she accused people of simply spreading gossip, making things up and taking things out of context to cancel her.
Colleen would also be called out for betraying her friendship with Trisha Paytas when it was exposed she was saving and sharing private, explicit photos of Trish to share with friends and minors to belittle Trish’s appearance.
Shane Dawson even spoke on a Podcast about Colleen being a gossip herself and often making rude comments about others who might even believe them to be friends. Colleen also attempted another response on the Tea Time Podcast which was far less favorably taken.
